Sasural Simar Ka Actor Ashiesh Roy: 'Need Rs 4 Lakh For Further Treatment, Im Battling For My Life All Alone'- EXCLUSIVE
This morning news of Sasural Simar Ka Actor, Ashiesh Roy being admitted in the ICU at a suburban hospital shocked everyone. We managed to speak to the actor to know about his health and development
Ashiesh Roy, who has worked in prominent shows on television, including the famous daily soap, Sasural Simar Ka, is battling for his life. He suffered a paralytic stroke on the left side of his body, last year.
And this morning, his Facebook page informed his fans that the actor is in the ICU and going through dialysis. His post also stated that he is in need of urgent financial support. We managed to get in contact with the ailing actor and have a small conversation about his health. Here's what he told us about his state:
How are you feeling now?
Not good.
Where are you admitted?
I am admitted at the Criti Care Hospital, Juhu. Have been kept in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit).
What are the doctors saying?
They are trying to save me. My Dialysis treatment is on, today was the third day. Once the swelling will go down, they will tell me about the next step. There is 20 litres of excess water in my body. But don't worry, they have told me I am not going to die.
Hospital staff is taking good care of you?
Not really! Things are bad here because the hospital is short on staff due to the pandemic crisis. I have to wait for 4 hours to get a glass of water.
Is somebody staying with you in the hospital?
No, I am all alone here.
You wrote about your financial crisis on your facebook account?
It was done by my friend Habib Faisal, who is the writer of the film Band Baja Baarat. He came to see me at a time when hospitals are not even allowing anyone to enter the premises. I am blessed to have him as a true friend. He took all the details and shared it on my page, so that someone can offer me help.
How much money do you need?
Since six months I haven't done any work, so there is no income at all. Expenses are mounting- for eg, just today's dialysis has costed me Rs 90,000.
After writing the appeal on Facebook, have people come ahead to support you?
Not a single person from the industry has come ahead to support me or shared a single penny. But people who I don't know have come to help and put some money in the account, like 2k-5k but that's not enough. They are students of some Kirodi Mal College, Delhi. I need at least Rs 4 lakhs for further treatment and I really don't know from where will I get this money.
Hospital authorities have told me that they will have to stop the treatment if I don't pay and I have told them, "rok do, ab kahan se laaun?" Aaj mera birthday hai, aur main yahan akele ladai lad raha hoon.
